Walkers, Rollators, Canes & Crutches in Greenacres & Lake Worth, FL
Medical Homecare Supply carries walking aids at our store at 4664 Lake Worth Rd in Greenacres, FL 33463: rollators with 6" or 8" wheels, folding and 3-wheel walkers, hemi walkers, knee walkers, forearm and bariatric crutches, quad canes, and canes from Drive Medical in offset, derby, folding and wooden styles.
Which walking aid is right?
A rollator has wheels, brakes and a seat, so you can stop and rest. A standard walker has no brakes and is lifted with each step, which gives maximum stability. A walker with two front wheels glides between those two. A 3-wheel walker folds easily and moves well in tight spaces.
Wheel size matters on a rollator: 8" wheels roll more smoothly over uneven surfaces and outdoors, and 6" wheels suit indoor and everyday use. For limited use of one side, a hemi walker gives more support than a cane. A knee walker is an alternative to crutches for a non-weight-bearing lower-leg injury. Bariatric rollators support up to 500 lbs.
Medicare and insurance
Medicare Part B covers medical equipment such as walkers when a doctor orders it for use at home. After the Part B deductible, Medicare pays 80% of the approved amount, and secondary insurance often covers some or all of the rest. For canes, crutches and knee walkers, call to check your plan. We accept Medicare, most secondary and supplemental plans, and many private insurers. Call (561) 965-2785 to check your plan.
